Laura’s leaves

I designed this shawl for my new sister-in-law, Laura, to wear to her wedding. The lace pattern is inspired by falling leaves, worked on a garter stitch background for textural contrast.

Sizes

Finished shawl measures 228cm / 89.75in across by 60cm / 23.5in deep.

Yarn

The green sample is made from:

Mellifera BFL Twist Sock, 100g = 366m / 400yds, 2 skeins.

The blue sample is made from:

Posh Yarn Kirsten Heavy Lace, 100g = 503m / 500yds, 2 skeins.

Or substitute with 650m / 710yds lace or fingering weight yarn. I would recommend choosing yarn that will block well.
